Floral Dresses Need a Hat
I love this pretty floral pattern :) Floral patterns are fun to incorporate into your winter wardrobe to brighten up a sometimes otherwise dull palette (and day). I've been wearing a lot of stripes and floral patterns (together and separately) this winter... the playful and usually colorful patterns remind me of spring and summer. Wearing these combinations in the winter... when paired with other weather appropriate items... also helps to extend the wearability of a piece. Why do we think that we can only wear a pretty sundress in the spring or summer? I believe that it is for no reason other than that is what we've been told (does packing away your summer clothes for the winter sound familiar to anyone?). So, I'm here to tell you that it is perfectly acceptable to pull out your warm weather dresses and try pairing them with tights and a cozy cardigan (seen here)! I think that almost any shoe would work (boots, flats, heels, booties...). What do you think?
dress- Target (old), cardigan- Bobeau from Nordstrom, bag- Kate Spade, boots- Victoria's Secret, stockings- Hue, necklace- C. Wonder, hat- Charter Club, watch- Kate Spade
Now that it's Thursday, are you making any plans for the weekend? Are you paying attention to everything going on in New York for Fashion Week? It's been really exciting for me to be able to follow along via Instagram, Vine, and Twitter... but it would be so awesome to be there... maybe next year! We should all dream big, right? :)
Happy Thursday!
